Buffalo 25K. Have been heading out to the island for a spring race for the past years. Plan today was to have a good time and get it done. I haven't been doing any distance training so, wasn't expecting to "rock it", but wanted to keep moving. Started off great! Felt good up the first three mile climb and out to lone tree climb. Hit the nice down hill, but once I started up the switchbacks on the west side my body felt like I had just entered a furnace.. I think my internal temp went up about 20 degrees. About half way up the switchs GMASter of Doom caught up to me and went right past! He tried pulling me along - thanks bro. He took off at the aid station at mile 11 while I took a sip of some sweet ginger ale. Last miles just crusied along, didn't push to hard, since I didn't want to go into heat stroke! Kept it under three, so I'm happy with the result. Need to put some more distance training miles in... Fritz, Gdoc and Rob all rocked it out there today. Great to be with them under the BlueDome. Peace.
