Gutted out the Moab half today. I chalk this race up to a good endurance builder. Never felt great throughout the run, but was able to still finish strong. It all started with dinner the night before...Pesto Pasta at Jays... when they served it - it was swiming in boiling butter ( they forgot to add the sauce - they actually ended up comping it ).. So, this morning I was feeling the effects if you know what I mean. Plus my right leg never got into the groove, so I wasn't the best physically I've felt for a race, thus the endurance builder... .Splits tomorrow.. Tried to stay/keep the Booth rocket in my sites was able to until mile 9-10 then he hit overdrive and I fell into nuetral. More later...Maybe. Good times....

So a fun fact - Last year's chip time 1:37:16 this year's chip time 1:37:16 - so much for improvement. What are the odd's of that...

I wanted to go to Pasta Jay's but the line looked really long. Ended up going to the Broken Oar instead and had pesto pasta with mushrooms, it was ok, but I wasn't feeling my best either.

Good job overall despite everything!

Nice one brother. The moab race is a killer for some reason. Seems harder than it should be for some reason. Anyway. nice going and thanks for the letter. I of course need to know where you got that...and are there anymore?

GREAT JOB!!! Sorry about the pasta fiasco, that stinks!

so sorry to hear your "tough" race was only 6 mins faster than my best one! You are a star. Good job.

Nice race, just another step for Squaw Peak. Even though your times are the same, that's amazing, you didn't feel well this year so you're probably a little ahead.

the bottom line is Moab sucks. I say that with love in my heart. It is a great and well organized race in beautiful surroundings but it is hard to have a good race there with the cold morning, early down hill, late and long uphill and the pact with the netherworld.

And the baking heat when you are not in the shade, do not forget that!

I agree 100%, but have to go back to try and make it better the second time.
